My company has two main offices in two different cities. We currently are using SCOM 2007 R2 with the following servers...
NY: RMS and DB server
Dallas: Gateway server
Servers in NY go to the RMS and servers in Dallas point to the gateway server. There are about 180 servers total.
I am wondering if it makes more sense to get rid of the gateway server and point all agents to the RMS.
We used to have a Management Server in Dallas and replaced it with the Gateway to reduce traffic but it seems like we may not really need either.
Thanks a lot,
Kenny Stern
