we are running with scom 2007 R2 in our environment. we have sql 2000.2005,2008,2012 and we are using SCOM action account for monitoirng the sql servers. previously our scomaction account having the admin right on the all sql servers (windows level and sql server level scom action account having the admin access). For security reasons sql team removed the admin access from SQL server level and granted the "public" rights on sql servers. is these permissions are sufficient for SCOM to moniotr SQL servers.
I am confused with the rights for scom to monitor the sql servers. please suggest me in detail.
