SIP Notification works but mobile Lync client doesn't save message?

I succeeded in making SIP notification of SCOM alerts work. Warnings and errors get sent to my SMTP address and my SIP address. However, I do not see the beginning of the message's content on my Lync 2013 mobile client, instead seeing "(sender name) is inviting you to a conversation." If I don't look at the message quick enough, I lose it.

By comparison, if I sign on to Lync as the notification user and try sending myself messages, the mobile client previews the message on my phone's Lync client and saves the message in a conversation.

If I'm logged on to a Lync desktop (or other mobile) client as the notification user, I can see it is online on my phone's client, and messages sent from the other client are saved in conversations. Messages coming from SCOM are not saved as conversations unless I 'catch' them before the notification disappears.

It's like the SCOM SIP client logs on to Lync just long enough to send the message, then logs off. It's not good behavior to me, as I have no way to retrieve missed messages from SCOM. As this only happens with IMs coming from SCOM, is there some way to change the behavior of the SIP client on SCOM to prevent lost messages?

Otherwise, if I miss notifications I can log on to my e-mail and retrieve them that way. I set up Lync on my phone to avoid setting up ActiveSync, however. (egads! Someone who doesn't check their work e-mail on their personal phone?)

(SCOM server is SCOM 2012 R2. SIP server is Lync 2013 as a stand-alone front-end server.)
