Use SCOM2012 Console to connect to a 2007R2 RMS server

Hello,

I do have the following issue.

My company states they want to use a Windows 2012 Standard edition x64 server. This server is monitored in a 2007R2 scom environment. So a 2012 Agent is installed on the server.

To install a SCOM console, the level of the agent must match the level of the console. So I have to use a 2012 Console.

My question is:

Is it possible to use a SCOM 2012 Console to connect to the 2007 R2 RMS server in a SCOM 2007 R2 farm and perform actions as putitng a server in maintenance.
