Our client is asking to monitor world wide web publishing service and microsoft FTP service seperately, I have tried to configure these services from SCOM management pack templates, but during the windows service configuration from SCOM, I am unable to find these two services during configuration although these services were present in the servers services.msc panel. Along with that, the server is a 2008 R2 box, we already have IIS and windows server MP procured in our environment. Hence,
I need to knowthe basic funda or workflow or operatoin behind services monitoring configuration through SCOM.
If we have certain MP procured in environment and the services, which have been discovered by the monitors/rules of that MP, present in services.msc panel of a server would be monitored by SCOM properly.
