Hello everybody,
we are using SCOM2012 for over 3 months now and it´s a great program. Again, well done Microsoft.
But now we got stuck and need your help, dear experts.
Scenario:
One of the softwares we use is running in around 10 district offices all over the world. Long story short, our job is to support the colleagues when they experience problems with the software. They call us, we have to login via remote desktop
and search for the problem. This can be extremely time-consuming at times.
What we want:
So our firm has enough SCOM-Licenses, we monitor all of the ~3000Devices and everything´s fine - until now.
We need some REALLY deep-digging-monitoring.
- We want to simulate user-actions with a SCOM-Script or something. The idea is, that the script is logging into the software, performs a specified user-action (for example load an assembly), save and exit in defined intervals and logs the time needed.
- We want a SCOM-Script which reads/parses the log-files of the program and scans it for "suspicous" values.
Are there any tutorials on how to make such advanced scripts?
What we got so far:
- Monitor all data of the devices like (free) space, latency, services, databases and so on.
Thank you so much for reading this, I hope I made it clear enough.
