Limitations of RMS during alert flood

Hi Experts,

We have Shared Platform where we get nearly 40000 alerts and above per week . We are doing alert analysis to reduce the count of 
repeated alerts. Does it helps to improve the performance of SCOM 

We had alert flood every week so thought this might be the better way to reduce alert flood and increase the performance 

Need inputs to reduce the alerts (repeated alerts ) and increase the performance of SCOM
