Hi,
I'm trying to create a SLA Dashboard to show the availability of a group of servers (e.g. all production machines, all Hyper-V servers etc). I tried several things and nothing is working as expected. As I could not get this to work in our production environment I installed a fresh installation of SCOM 2012 RU3 to test this:
1. I created a group in the operations cosole and put all computer objects I want in it. Next I created a monitor slo (downtime = critical, unplanned maintenance, unmonitored, monitoring unavailable, monitor disabled) for that group and added it to a dashboard. Result: Group shows unmonitored in the Dashboard.
2. I created a computer group in xml and put all computer objects I want in it. Next I created a monitor slo (downtime = as above) for that group and added it to a dashboard. Result: The dashboard shows 100% Uptime when all servers are up but 0% when one (out of 10) server is down.
3. I created a distributed application an put all servers in a component group. Next I created a monitor slo (downtime = as above) for that DA and added it to a dashboard. Result: Dashboard shows 100% even when one server is down.
Can somebody explain me how to accomplish my goal? And maybe the database table\view where the dashboard pics up its values?
Thank you
Alex
