On SCOM 2012 SP1, I am unable to get the recursive network discovery to discover anything else other than the starting IP device. I have applied no filter, I configueed to discover4 ALL Network devices anbd my Starting IP is not already in the networ devices. The discovery rule is set to run manual. I run the rule, it does discover the starting IP, yet all other connected switches are not found.
I found little explanation as to how the recursive actually works technically as I find little documentationa side generic and can't troubleshoot. I know the switches are v2 and it is only SNMP and no PING.
All other static discovery work fine and all SNMP is working proper.
Any ideas or direction for more detailed technical explanation as to how SCOM is supposed to discover the other switches from the recursive feature ?
