We have recently begun to deploy scom 2012 within our company and we are currently building out our system.
Basically, in our organisation, we have servers that are critical to production, and some that are not, depending on which goes down or an issue occurs on, depends on how our servicedesk escalate, i.e phone call, ticket/email etc...
At the moment i have built a dashboard, and when a particular event occurs, i have it set to pop into a particular widget, this works fine, but this may be a critical alert on one server, but not critical alert on another server....
Can someone please advise how i might apply a severity to a particular server or group of servers?
