We have a scheduled maintenance window where our servers get patches and security updates. When our SCOM 2012 R2 system exits the maintenance mode it seems to see the maintenance window as a change of state for monitors and any monitors which are 'deemed' unhealthy get repeat alerts.
We normally leave these open until the problem is resolved but as our helpdesk people log these as incidents and we get emails about problems that we have already been alerted on.
Is there a means of preventing this as the repeated alert/email is not desired. I understand this is by design but causes us issues with our procedures. Is there some method of dealing with this?
If we closed the alert after raising a support ticket for it in SCSM - would that stop it from alerting again on exit?
