SCOM 2012 R2 VHD hangs while deploying

all, 

Need some help with SCOM 2012 R2 VHD

I downloaded SCOM 2012 R2 VHD from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=40844.

while deploying the SCOM machine joins to the domain and hangs while installing.

the command line window after reboot shows:

1. SCOM 2012 R2 currently being installed

2. Install SCOM R2

3. start /wait .... <long string with parameters>



Its been 5.5 hours since i initiated the installation, and its still not finished. the virtual machine CPU (12 virtual CPUs assigned with 24GB RAM) shows some utilization, but still it doesnt finish. the domain connectivity is fine.



Any thoughts on whats causing the issue?
