Hi,
I'm having an alert raise on "Health Service Handle Count Threshold" exceeding the threshold of 10000 in Management Server.
I've been researching on how to solve this situation, in most sites say to increase the threshold. So i raised to 20,000 but only increase the time until the warning appears again.
I start monitoring the handle count of Healthservice.exe to see the evolution of the handle counts over time.
Tonight the process HealthService.exe restarted. I checked how many Handle Count before the restart and had approximately 22,000, as shown in the image in attachment (handle count for the process healthservice.exe).
I also read that there was a hotfix, but only information meeting for Windows 2008 or for SCOM 2007.
Every 3 days there Healthservice.exe restart, doesn't seems to me a very normal process,
I have the version of SCOM 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2012 R2 with 8GB of RAM, all windows updates are installed.
I'm just monitor 2 servers.
However I have installed on the server the McAfee anti-virus and have no exclusion for SCOM. Could be the source of the problem? As I have nothing to do with the management of antivirus, i needed to know if there are alternatives to try before i ask the exclusions?
Thank you in advance for your help,
Rui
