I am using SCOM 2012 R2 edition. We monitor Exchange servers in this. We have a service called Microsoft Exchange monitoring correlation in the Management server. This service is used so the Management server to collect exchange related alerts in the Management server from its Exchange Agents.
If this service is stopped SCOM will not throw Exchange alerts.
When this service is stopped in my MS previously a alert used to come in the console saying the "Microsoft exchange monitoring Correlation service is not running"
Now i am not at all getting this alert if the Microsoft exchange monitoring Correlation service stops.
I checked the and there were one Rule and monitor fro this service created to trigger alert if the service stops and it is a default alert and it is enabled. Not sure why the alert is not appearing in my console.
The target of the Rule is Root management server Emulator.
The Service monitor is also enabled by default and is targeting Monitoring Correlation Engine.
Also checked my MS's RMS Emulator role is also enabled.
Also checked the Event logs (Opsmanager) - There is no event generated for the service stop or start
Can any one please help.
