Hi There,
We recently set up SCOM 2013 in our environment and for the most part the install has gone smoothly. The only issue I am having at the moment is that I cannot get SCOM to write to the data warehouse. In the health view for the SCOM server I get the following messages:
Summary
The Data Warehouse Object Health State Data Collection Writer process encountered a persistent error writing to the Data Warehouse. This monitor will alert if the Object Health State Data Collection Writer process running on a Management Server encounters
a persistent error writing to the Data Warehouse. If the writer process has not successfully completed within a 2 minute interval (by default), this monitor will alert. Note that the interval is overrideable.
Causes
This is most commonly caused by connectivity issues to the SQL Server hosting the Data Warehouse, or that SQL Server performance is slow.
I have verified that the data warehouse profile is bound to an account which has permissions to log into the database, and even has DB_owner permissions on the DW database. I do not believe that this is related to performance or firewall since we are having no issues with any of the other SCOM components. Are there any other possible reasons why SCOM would fail to write to the DW? If the issue was permissions related would another error be thrown?
