Different "version" of SQL for OM, DW and ACS databases?

Hi,

we are currently running our OM and OMDW databases on a single SQL server running SQL 2008 R2 standard edition.

We are now looking at using ACS and my thinking at the moment from a performance and disk sizing point of view is to put this on a seperate server and possibly even look at using the enterprise edition.

I see the statement from MS is as follows -

"Using a different version of SQL Server for different Operations Manager features is not supported. The same version should be used for all features."

I am wondering does "version" mean 2008 R2 for example or does this also mean "edition". In other words can I use standard and enterprise together?

cheers
