Will Notification work without Run As Account in SCOM 2012 SP1

Hi All,

My customer has installed SCOM 2012 SP1. Customer configured Notification without creation of Run As Account & Run As Profile and the Notification is working well.

I suggested customer to go with standard process of Notification configuration as mentioned inhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh212835.aspx

I suggested customer the following requirements to create Run As Account:

1. The normal domain user account with nameSCOM
2. This SCOM account should be mail enabled i.e. it should be able to send the mails ( can use name used in Return Address in Channel)
3. No mailbox required for theSCOM account

Customer have concern about creation of Domain account. Customer informed that Notification is working without creation of Domain User Account.

Customer like to know whether really need to create Domain User account & what its advantage.

Is really need to create Run As Account & Run As Profile.
