I checked all the questions and the solutions from this site; but I still cannot find a clue of why the discover agent will fail with the error: "The pool managing the instance is not available ot the location monitoring object cannot be found".
I did had the SCOM install in oue test lab (without the Internet access - Firewall is disable) successfully and the discovering agents without problem. I followed everything to install the SCOM in this test lab (with Internet access - Firewall is disable); but I got the error when I was trying to discover agents.
The only difference is when I was running the Report Manager URL on the SCOM reporting server while checking the setup, I have no folders showing as my first test lab. All those folders are: Microsoft.SystemCenter.ClientMonitoring..., Microsoft.SystemCenter.DataWarehouse..., Microsoft.SystemCenter.DataWarehouse..., Microsoft.Windows.Server.Reports, and RTC2007R2MP_SCOM. This is the only part I think that will cause the error. However, I asked our DBA but he said the set up is fine. Please help to direct me what is the problem and how do I get those folders back? I reinstalled the SCOM Operations Manager 2 times in this case without errors.
Here is my test lab environment for SCOM 2012:
SCOM Management server: W2K8 R2 Standard SP1
SCOM SQL Server: SQL server 2008 R2 SP1 build on W2k8 R2 Enterprise SP1
SCOM Reporting Server: W2K8 R2 SP1
Any other place I have to check?
