Hey there folks! I set up a few alert views, state views, and performance views for a group of servers. All is going well there. I created a Dashboard, intending to add some of those views to it for a quick status of things...but then found that 2012 doesn't allow me to add those views, but rather basically wants me to recreate them as widgets within the dashboard. (*sigh*). I love duplicating my work! Anyway, so, I try to set up a simple state widget, but can't for the life of me figure out how to get the same kind of results as in my state view. In my state view, I am looking at disk health. So, I "show data relate to: Logical Disk (Server)", and then I "Show data contained in a specific group" as a set of windows servers that I explicitly defined. This works perfectly. Now, to "redo" it in my dashboard, this is where I struggle. I selected to add a state widget, gave it a name, and under the scope is where I get lost. It seems a little backwards compared to the state view. It seems first I need to select my "group" in the top section...and then for the class at the bottom select "Logical Disk (Server)"? When I do this, the window/grid is completely empty. If I remove the group from the top, I get the disks for ALL the windows servers being monitored. What am I doing wrong to narrow this list down to JUST the disks on the servers in my group?
Thanks, as always, in advance!
