I ahave got a situation where in ai am attempting to create a web availability monitor for an internal web URL , at the test page while creating the monitor the test returns a forbidden status code 403
but when i open up the URL in a browser the page renders fine.I took this up with the application team about their URL and status code that it returns and it looks like the URL is vendor managed and they have allowed limited number of sources to access the URLs and the scom watchers cannot be added to that list, it has to wait for the next release.So now verifying the availability of the URL is not possible using status codes.
Alternatively, there is another url that has been provided to perform the test on which returns/displays xml data and scom is required to pick up certain status which is in the xml and based on that decide the availability of the URL.Could you give me some pointers here.
Note: this URL returns a status message 200 ok
