monitoring SQL IOPS

Hey All
I am about to start a project whereby I need to monitor SQL IOPS with SCOM.  The customer is about to start a SQL consolidation project and they want to be able to see reports on how SQL looks before and after.  Any ideas/advice on how to go about it?
