Here's my situation. We're currently running SCOM 2012 SP1 and I recently installed a MP from HP for our Blade enclosures. When I first installed the MP it worked great: it discovered the Blade's and monitoring was working. My next task with SCOM was to
focus on SNMP for our Juniper network devices. After researching extensively online as to how to get SCOM to receive SNMP traps, I finally got them to be received once I turned off both the SNMP service and the SNMP trap service (apparently SCOM's built in
SNMP trap monitor does the trick). Anyway, the issue I'm having is that the Blade MP installed a service: "HP BladeSystem Enclosure Monitor Service". This service is dependent on the SNMP Trap service running on the server, which I have turned off
because it was blocking SCOM from receiving SNMP traps. Anyone run into this issue? If so, how in the heck did you get the Blade service to run along side with SCOM?
