All,
we have moved a number of windows servers to another data center. in that process, we P2Ved' most of the physical servers that were not already virtualized and then migrated them to the new site. a few of those computers during that process they renamed the old virtual names to servernameold were still present on the old phyical machines. But on the new vm's when they moved the SQL servers didn't discover those virtual interfaces and the SQL server db engines that were running on them. I have no clue why. I've tried to rename the health state folder and restart the health service but that didn't resolve it. I have a email case open but that have not helped so far. has anyone else had this issue or would know any technet blogs that might help. I have checked to insure the wmi is working on those servers as well. I don't see any errors in the opsmgr event log.
