Hi,
We are using SCOM 2012 SP1 UR2 today and is about to upgrade to UR3. We are also using AlwaysOn availability groups that has Operations Manager database and Data Warehouse database separated on servers at two different locations for disaster recovery purposes. This means that different servers writes synchronized to their own disksets.
Since there is upgrades to the Data Warehouse in UR3 the question is:
Do we have to run the upgrade on all the servers in the availability group (both primary and secondary) or is it enough to just run the upgrade on the primary node and the chages get replicated?
I guess the answer depends on whether the update just concerns the database content or if it contains some change in configuration of SQL?
It would be nice if MS included in future documentation some information about how to deal with AlwaysOn when doing upgrades on SCOM installations. AlwaysOn is supported since SP1 so it ought to be mentioned.
So how shall we install the Data Warehouse part of UR3 on AlwaysOn-clusters?
