Problem with SCOM gateways and Site assignment

Hello,

Need a little help, I will outline my setup below, and then the issues I am facing:

SCOM 2007R2 CU5, monitoring different customers environments by the use of SCOM gateways.

I have created a site for each customer, at gateway installation time, using the gateway approval tool, this is then used for scoping views, and custom monitoring etc.

Problems:

Installing a second gateway (decomisiioning old one, or adding a failover) for a particular customer, and specifying the same site name in the gateway approval tool, then check a custom view, and it shows same site name associated with the 2 gateways.

1. If I move the agents to the new gateway, the "site" group in the authoring pane becomes depopulated of all computers except the gateways themselves, so all the views / monitoring scoped to it no longer works.

2. If i try to use the gateway approval tool to remove the old gateway, even after all agents moved, it fails saying it is still remotely managing devices.

There appears to be no supported mechanism to change site to gateway asociation, or to have 2 gateways using the same site name, the only thing i could dig up, was that this association is stored in the Ops Manager DB, and you need to do some SQL hacking to sort it out, I have posted the only relevant link i can find on the subject below.

Is this still valid ? is there any way to make 2 gateways work with 1 site name, is there any other way to cleanly migrate or remove the old gateways and asociated sites ?

Many Thanks.
