Before anyone says it, yes I did raise this question under the SCCM forums first and they suggested I raise the question here.
Basically I have a very specific and short window in which to apply Software updates with SCCM, and I need to be able to tell in (or close to) real time whether or not the updates are being applied to the machines and manually patch the ones that fail. From what I can find and what I was told, in SCCM there is no way to get that information in or close to real time, I have to wait for the next time the clients check in to see the results which could be a few minutes or a few hours.
That being said, is there any kind of monitor that can be set up in SCOM to show if software updates are being or have been installed within a few minutes of the installation taking place or completing?
Thanks in advance for your responses.
Thanks, Chris Skeen
