Adjusting timeframe of display in Active Alerts

I'd like to display only the active alerts in my session from the present to the last 24 - 48 hours. My session currently shows alerts back as far as 89 days. It's not that I can't close alerts, but if I colse an alert in my session, it closes the entry in everyones' session.

If I set up a a schedule in the Subscriber Wizard, will that limit the period of what is displayed? Or is that only used for remote notifications? I only need to see alerts that occur between 2300 and 0700, and only for the last 24 - 48 hours.

I have a suspicion that there is no way to achieve what I'm asking, either in and individual session or in general.
