Agent Installation Error - (Error Code: 80070643) + System Center Operations Manager 2012 Agent -- Error 25211.Failed to install performance counters.. Error Code: -2147024809 (The parameter is incorrect.).

Hi All,

I am trying to install SCOM 2012 SP1 agent on a machine with Windows Operating System 2012.

Installation fails giving the below error -

Error Code: 80070643            
Error Description: Fatal error during installation.            
Microsoft Installer Error Description:

C:\Program Files\System Center Operations Manager 2007\AgentManagement\AgentLogs\servernameMOMAgentMgmt.log" on the Management Server.

When I checked on the machine I found below things -

1) Remote Registry services enters Stopped state after every few minute.

2) Windows Update services enters Stopped state after every few minute.

3) In the Event Viewer I see the error - Event ID 10005

4) The Machine has "Team foundation server 20123 RC" installed on it.

Manual agent installation is failing too with the same error. The machine was rebooted 3 days back.

Under these conditions can someone please help me in fixing this issue and installing SCOM agent on the machine.
