i have (scom 2012 sp1) with SQL 2008 r2 on windows server 2008 r2 and my manager asked me about compatibility to in place upgrade for SCOM 2016 and operating system and after searching there is no case like that so if anyone has an experience for that scenario can share his knowledge and recommendation

My question, how are the connection health lines are working? Are those TCP monitors? Where can I find them in the console (and get their IDs)?

I am trying to become more creative with my dashboards. I am hoping that some of you can share screenshots of your more creative dashboards and are willing to share how you got there. We are limited to out of the box SCOM as we do not have a budget to purchase 3rd party integrations but I am working on it.

I am running SCOM 2016 and I am trying to create an Alert View which displays only the alerts created for certain computers in a group.
However, when I try to create the view SCOM pretty much tells me that the group and the view have to exist in the same view. So I have two options but in both case I don't have the answer
1. Create the view in the same MP as the Computer group. Not sure how to do that. I haven't found any function to do that
2. Create the Computer group in the same MP the views are being saved in by default. I am not able to figure out which MP that would be.
Does someone have the answer to any of those two questions?

I'm trying (and failing) to discover a Meraki MX60 security appliance using an explicit ICMP-SNMP discovery and it keeps failing on SNMP access.
I am able to run SNMP gets and walks to device from the discovery and management servers using the same credentials that the discovery rule uses.
A couple of errors appear in the management server log:
ADTM-W-TMG2_BAD_VALUE_IN_SNMP_RESPONSE-Bad value in SNMP response for OID '.1.3.6.1.2.1.1.4.0' : 'noSuchObject'
ADTM-W-TMG2_BAD_SNMP_RESPONSE-SNMP error 'No such name' in Oid:'.1.3.6.1.2.1.1.6.0'
but discovery did run to completion.
Can anyone tell me what OIDs are actually probed and need to return values in order for discovery to succeed? I usually just test 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5.0 sysName and if that works discovery generally succeeds, but not this time.

We have 3 SCOM Server 1801 and 200 Microsoft windows server in our Organization. we created 15 dashboards (Dashboard view) per server. our SCOM Servers have a High Performance and good resource (Disk, Memory,) but it is very slow when we create or Update Dashboard view for a server in Operation console .it take long time (10 min) when we want to select object and group. we have good responding when we use web console but we have a long delay in operation Console? Specially in Synchronization and Monitoring and view … take 3 min and it is too much.
Do you think there is a problem with too many dashboards or something else?
We are currently running SCOM 1807 on Windows 2012 R2 OS/SQL 2016, in order to get to windows 2016/2019 OS, can we do an in-place OS upgrade? Has anyone did this before, is this supported by Microsoft? Are there any special steps necessary to do this, like should we disable all SQL/SCOM services during the in-place OS upgrade

While looking to edit a notification I started getting this error. I tried creating a new Subscriber and I get it there to. It will not let me proceed once it happens, and it happens everytime.
When creating a new subscription it happens at the Subscriber Addresses" screen when trying to add. When editing a current subscriber it happens on the same screen when trying to edit the address or adding an address. I get a popup from SCOM saying "Invalid class" and below is the additional information.
Any thoughts/advise?

We have a Service Monitor targeted to a group, few servers have service available and few don't. We are seeing floods of alerts on one or two servers from this group which don't have the service installed on it. Not sure why the state keep on changing to running and not running frequently for a server which don't have service at all. Can someone help here pls.

My System center data access service is getting stopped again and again for one of my management servers . when I checked the event logs, below errors/events I am getting:-

1) to list all monitors / rules for a given agent using PowerShell, and
2) to export this information to a excel file?
I don't mean hier using "MONITORING > Operations Manager > Agent Details > Agent Health State > highlight the agent name in Agent State > Tasks > run "Show Running Rules and Monitors for this Health Service"
