Recursive network discovery

Is there a log file, events to validate if the recursive discovery has successfully accessed the device Address Routing Protocol (ARP) table or its IP address table, or the topology Management Information Block (MIB).

and do you know if there should be special snmp, cdp, lldp configuration on the core switch "used for recursive discovery" and the adjacent devices?

also have you encountered issues discovering adjacent devices to DELL switches in specific?
