We have a SCOM deployment with two management servers. We placed the standard operations manager database on an instance in a SQL server cluster. We placed the data warehouse database on the same SQL cluster, but in a different instance.
We monitor about 50 servers, with the load being split equally between our two management servers. Performance in the UI seems fine, although we really haven't spent much time customizing or doing any reporting at all.
My problem is that the data warehouse database has massive (for our environment compared to everything else) reads - about 250Mb/s constantly. It will peak to 400mb/s.
Is this normal? What can I do to tell what it is that is actually hitting the database?
