Maintenance Mode on Cluster triggers alerts

Hi,

I have a couple of problems that I am seeing with SCOM R2

1) When I put a physical cluster node under maintenance, it immediately triggers alerts within SCOM about the Cluster resource being offline. This is being triggered by the 'Resource Group Monitor' which is the rollup monitor for resource groups in a cluster. On the Cluster itself, there are no informational events which point to any failure. So the cluster is absolutely healthy but SCOM is somehow triggering the alert when the node is being put into maintenance.

2) This is an oldie, but a goldie. If I put a computer object in maintenance, the contained objects are still trigerring alerts. The check box for 'Apply to selected objects and contained objects' is checked.  So if I put in a Windows server (computer object) in maintenance, I still get alerts from SQL DB Engine, SQL Server Agent, IIS service which is running on that box. I understood that this was fixed in R2, but still seems to be happening.

Has anybody observed this problem or can shed some light on this?
