We recently move a machine from one domain (GHS) into another domain (OLH). The machine was being monitored while in the GHS domain. AFter the move of course it was not monitoring properly. So we removed the older GHS entry in SCOM
and rediscovered the machine in the OLH domain and it does not what to show up as being monitored in SCOM.
In the machines event logs I see the following 2 errors.
OpsMgr was unable to set up a communications channel to PROD-SCOM01.OLH.LOCAL and there are no failover hosts. Communication will resume when PROD-SCOM01.OLH.LOCAL is available and communication from this computer is allowed.
also
The OpsMgr Connector connected to PROD-SCOM01.OLH.LOCAL, but the connection was closed immediately after authentication occurred. The most likely cause of this error is that the agent is not authorized to communicate with the server, or the server has not received configuration. Check the event log on the server for the presence of 20000 events, indicating that agents which are not approved are attempting to connect.
I tried to uninstall the agent and remove from SCOM and rediscover but that didnt work. The machine does not show up in Pending management either.
The OLH and GHS domains have complete trust and port 5723 is open.
Any ideas on what to check for?
Thanks Lance
