We had a situation where 3 lakh alerts were triggered in SCOM and our connector stalled during that. As a measure we have uninstalled the agent which triggered these alerts so that the alerts are removed from the Ops DB and console.
Now we need to re-enable the alerting back on the server. We have changed the grooming settings to 1 day. How do we proceed further. Will the alerts be groomed out after 24hrs even if the agent is uninstalled. Could we re-enable the alerts after 24hrs. Is there a better approach in case we come across such issues.
