SCOM data warehouse contains a view Event.vEvent, which has information about event description, level, etc. There is also a field called EventCategoryRowId, which afaik points to another view called dbo.vEventCategory. The latter has EventCategoryTitle field, which contains numeric values only.
My question is, what is the semantics of EventCategoryTitle? Are those values from some enumeration or display strings? If so, where can I find a complete list of event categories and their meaning?
Additionally, do SCOM events and alerts have the same categories?
