I'm having problems with a bunch of network devices not heartbeating.
I have 2 servers in my network pool and attempted to discover 326 devices using an explicit ICMPSNMP discovery. 321 discovered successfully and 5 failed. Of the 321 that were successfully discovered, 23 appear grey in the console and there are OpsMgr Connector 2002 "Device not heartbeating" events in the Operations Manager event log.
I spot-checked one of the devices and can run ping and SNMP tasks successfully on the device, but the SNMP walk failed. I assume it timed out.
The devices that don't heartbeat don't ever seem to recover from that state. I've tried a right-click rediscover on the device to no avail. The firewall is disabled for now, so that's not the problem.
Does anyone know if there is a way to tell which management server in a pool is monitoring a given device? With agents, yoo can find out which management server is primary and which are the failover servers, but I haven't been able to find anything equivalent for network devices.
Thanks,
Dave
