Hi I also have the problem that my SCOM 2007 R2 installation is not discovering my Biztalk 2010 servers.
I have read the other threads and I have checked the registry for correct Database name and database server name. But now I am reading the documentation for the Biztalk MP. An some lines are confusing me.
The first line in the "Run As Profiles" section says :
"When the BizTalk Server Core Library Management Pack is first imported, it creates two new Run As Profiles:
- BizTalk Server Discovery Account. This profile is associated with all discoveries of BizTalk Server role components.
- BizTalk Server Monitoring Account. This profile is associated with all monitors and tasks."
What is the "BizTalk Server Core Library Management Pack"?
I do not see these two accounts in my "Administration-Run as Configuration-Accounts" view. I only have the OLD "Biztalk services Monitor Account" that came with Biztalk 2006 MP. That I still have installed on my SCOM.
Where can I find the .vbs files that are supposed to be copyed to my servers for discovery? i.e Microsoft.BizTalk.Server.2010.BizTalkRoleDiscovery.vbs. They are not on my biztalk server at least
How often are the discovery scripts run?
From the chapter "Discoveries"
With BizTalk Server 2010 Management Pack, the monitoring agents discover the artifacts from a single runtime machine. By default, the management pack discovers the artifacts on the first machine that is joined to the BizTalk group.
What does this mean? Is the discovery only run once? Can I trigger a discovery?
Hope you can help?
