Hi there,
I am having a dedicated SCOM 2012 SP1 installation on one server and the operational database on a different server. Both systems rely on Windows Server 2012 and the SQL Database is a MSSQL 2012 installation as well. Everything is working just fine.
Tody I tried to upgrade to SCOM 2012 R2, but the prerequisite checker tells me that all my databases (report server, operational database and data warehouse) have the wrong version.
looking at the Prerequisites log (SCOMPrereqCheck.log) file, I find that:
<Result StatusCode="2">

<Status>Failed</Status>
<Check>OMDWSqlVersionCheckTitle</Check>
<Components>
<Component>OMSERVER</Component>
</Components>

OMDWSqlVersionCheckFailed

<Resolution>OMDWSqlVersionCheckResolution</Resolution>
<LogInformation>CheckPrerequisites: Logic Type:and IsValidOMDWSQLVersionCheck: 2</LogInformation>
</Result>
and similar entries for the other databases. I have checked the prerequisites for this system and I am very certain, that I am in the supported configuration. Can you please help me find the issue here that is keeping me from upgrading my scom environment?
Best regards,
Felix
