SCOM R2 and NetCool Integration
At my company we are trying to setup the SCOM R2 <-> NetCool Integration by using the NetCool/Omnibus Probe
I defined as general guideline that all alerts to be forwarded to NetCool must have PriorityHigh; I defined overrides for the alerts coming from the sealed management packs and defined this priority for my custom rules and monitors
Does anyone have some experience with the SCOM - Netcool integration and have some advice, best practices, examples, lessons learned when setting up this connector ?

System Center Operations Manager 2016 - Cluster Network Interface is not online
We currently have a second installed NIC on our SQL servers that we have disabled. This NIC is only going to be used for the cluster if we have to fail to our DR Site, so we don't need them active daily. SCOM is giving us an alert that the
NIC is disabled. Is there a way to disable / ignore this alert ONLY for this one NIC. We do want to be alerted if the main NIC goes down.

Microsoft SCOM 2016 Web Console: "500 - Internal Server Error"
Hi All,
Everytime I launch SCOM 2016 Web console(from anywhere) using syntax http://servername/OperationsManager I get a 500 - Internal Server Error.
If I then login to SCOM server hosting Web Server role and launch SCOM 2016 Web console using syntaxhttp://localhost/OperationsManager it will open. If I then go back to my previous SCOM 2016 Web console and use syntaxhttp://servername/OperationsManager it will now open.
I've followed the SCOM documentation verbatim. I also have made changes as suggested in below blog, however no success yet:
BUG in Microsoft SCOM 2016 Web Console: "500 - Internal Server Error" !!!! SOLVED !!!!
Any help or pointers would be appreciated?

"500 Internal Server Error" in SCOM 2016 Web Console

I have setup a test environment for SCOM 2016, they are:
one Manager Server call V01T, and one Server for Reporting and SCOM web console call V02T
In V02T if I start-up Web console first, then I run web console from others Server it can be start-up,
if not, I always get "500 Internal Server Error" message.

We are using SCOM 2012 R2. Our OperationsManagerDW has grew too large (440 GB). Only 15 GB free space is remaining on the disk of Data Warehouse. When I try to shrink it,
it throws the error: “Shrink failed for DataFile 'MOM_DATA'. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo): An exception occurred while executing a Transact-SQL statement or batch. (Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo). A severe error occurred on the current command. The results,
if any, should be discarded. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 0)”. I understand it is unable to shrink since there's not sufficient free space on the disk.

Is there any solution to disable the web console timeout for a 24x7 service desk monitor ?
the known solution for the old web console does not work on the new one

Need to Reinstall your SCOM agents with the NOAPM switch.
Hi Guys,
I need to re-install scom agent with NOAPM =1 switch.
I am aware of the process to do it manually by logging to each servers by applying the command - msiexec /i MoMAgent.msi NOAPM=1.
But i want to repair the scom with NOAPM switch=1 for all the servers. There are 1000 servers in scom which is getting monitored. So i want to do it for all the servers.

Advice about the server install needed
Hi everyone,
I'm still very new to SCOM and "inherited" a SCOM2016 setup from my predecessor with no documentation at all.
I would like to know your remarks or advise about the set-up.
The situation now is as follows:
There are 500 sites that need to be monitored if they are up (I see a simple PING is send to 500 modems),
30ish applications (web applications included) with that are monitored, including each having one or a few databases
and a number of switches, servers and uplinks - lets overestimate and say about 100 all together.
The setup is:
1 SCOM server for the monitoring of the 500 sites, (thus pinging 500 modems once every 5 minutes)
1 SCOM server for the application, switches, servers ect. monitoring
1 SCOM server for reporting
with 4 databases (1 'general', 1 data warehouse, 2 for the report server)
Do we really need 3 servers for this kind of workload? Can't it all just fit in 1 VM -or it is really 'not done' to not have a seperate reporting server?
I mean.. There is a guideline to do it.. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/system-center/scom/quickstart-install-single-server?view=sc-om-1807 .. but maybe it's not advised in your experience?

How do I create a SCOM log file monitor where the folder name changes daily to reflect the current date?
I have a client asking for a log file monitor, but the folder name changes daily with the current date.
Example:
Log - log name "abcorp.log"
Log file location - C:\ABCorp\Logs\[today’s date in YYYYMMDD format]\abcorp.log
How do I create a log file monitor in SCOM if the folder's name changes daily?

Create Active Alerts Dashboard based on Domain
We currently monitor both production and non-production domains using a single scom environment. The problem is that our NOC isn't always being notified when work is being done in non-production and so the console gets flooded with alerts.
The idea would be to have a split dashboard with a production alerts widget and a non-production alerts widget. This seems like it would be an easy task, but of course nothing is with SCOM. Does anyone know of an easy way to filter alerts by domain?

We have SCOM 2016 , in that we are facing reporting intermittent issue , when we check opsmgr event low in DW DB server , getting below error , Any help to resolve this.
The description for Event ID 4201 from source Health Service Script cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
